Rush Limbaugh Is Not Very Inclusive

Ok. It is time to at least pose the question. I believe I have the answer. But I want to ask the question.  You see   some people how a way of showing their true colors. It comes out.  You know the type, they always complain about the same people. They never have anything good to say.  They sometimes hide behind the cloak, of ” I am just reporting the news”. Or how about this: ” I will say what I everyone else is afraid to say”. They are banking on a huge army of people suddenly emerging to validate a viewpoint.

Usually these people are very narrow minded. They have not taken the time to be inclusive, understanding, or even any semblance of trying.  They don’t care, because in their mind the world is behind them and their message. No one else truly matters.  They are usually my way or the highway personalities. So it’s time to ask the question ……….What is Rush Limbaugh problem? I don’t know the man. But he seems to feel really good about putting down President Obama. Time and time again. Why!

He never put down President Bush. But he always goes out of his way to put down the current President of the United States. The leader of our country and the free world. Where is the respect? By the  way, President Obama happens to be the first African American President of the United States. Perhaps Rush Limbaugh can’t bring himself to like that and it is showing.  So he attempts to rally like thinking individuals who cheer him on. But how can you cheer on someone who appears to dislike President Obama?  Maybe you don’t like the President’s policies, or his politics, but do not become mean spirited enough that it crosses a line and causes the public to wonder…….. What is Rush Limbaugh’s motive, what his problem?  Can’t he be accepting of all people and all races?

It is time for Americans to hold Limbaugh accountable for his words and his actions. He should show some repect to the President.   No Rush, the President will not debate you.  Why should he?  He  won the election, it is over. No one cares what you think.

President Obama is the Leader of the free world. You are merely a talk show host. The last time I checked, that occupation does not rate very high on the list of most influential people.

Geithner Just Confirmed-President Obama Moves To Swear Him In

Timothy Geithner was just confirmed as Treasury Secretary and he is slated to be immediately sworn in by either President Obama or Vice Presdient Biden.  President Obama wants to put Geithner to work immediately.  He is a key player in the ongoing  and crucial stimulus package debate.  Currently the White house and  congress are in a fierce debate over the $850 Trillion dollar Stmulus proposal. Today alone, Home Depot, Sprint/Nextel, Catepillar among other announced layoffs.

Lieberman’s Senate Career Saved By President Elect Obama

In his continued effort to reach out to former rivals and critics, Barack Obama urged his Democrat Senate
Colleagues to let hard feelings lie and allow Senator Joe Lieberman to continue chairing the Senate Homeland Security Committee. Lieberman, now an Independent criticized President Elect Barack Obama at the Republican National Convention. Lieberman openly supported John McCain and was a close confident to him throughout the campaign.

It goes without saying Lieberman’s Democratic colleagues in the Senate were furious with him. He could
easily be called a modern day Benedict Arnold. Lieberman has President Barack Obama to thank. Lierberman probably deserved worst.

Watch Obama’s Message On The Troubled Economy (Falling Stocks and Bail Outs)

Friend —

The economy hit a new low this week, and in every part of the country, people like you are feeling it.

The recent financial disasters — from the collapse of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac to the historic drop in the stock market — are not just a string of bad luck. They are the result of years of bad decisions made in favor of big corporate special interests instead of America’s working families.

More than 600,000 Americans have lost their jobs since January. Home foreclosures are skyrocketing, and home values are plunging. Gas prices are at an all-time high, and we’re still spending more than $10 billion every month on a war in Iraq that should never have been waged.

John McCain’s campaign is doing everything it can to focus attention on false personal attacks and distractions — but there’s too much at stake for that kind of politics.

I need your help to get the conversation back on track.

I recorded a two-minute TV ad about our economy and my plan to solve this crisis.
For eight years, Bush-McCain economic policies have favored reckless deregulation and huge tax loopholes for big corporations. Now, as these corporations crumble, American taxpayers are facing costly bailouts.

More of the same failed ideas are not going to solve our economic problems.

I’m calling for a $1,000 tax break for middle-class families — not just because they need help dealing with the rising costs of gas, food, and health care, but also because our economy needs to be reinvigorated from the bottom up, not the top down.

I’m proposing a second stimulus package to save over one million jobs and provide immediate relief to struggling families.

And I’ll end the “anything goes” culture on Wall Street with real regulation. We can see clearly that our economy is stronger when we protect investments and pensions, and avoid devastating bankruptcies and bailouts.

This is no ordinary time, and it shouldn’t be an ordinary election. Help keep the discussion focused on the issues.

Investigation In Alaska of Sarah Palin Reveals More

The theory is that the Republicans are not really using the hiatus from their own convention because of hurricane Gustav. Word is that they were blindsided by all the internet stories on Sarah Palin and needed to buy time to fully vet her, by sending operatives to Alaska in hopes of getting her off the hook.

It has been reported by many news agencies and confirmed on CNN, that these organizations are in Alaska digging up more information on Sarah Palin. It is rumored that the National Enquirer has a team in Alaska researching Sarah Palin.

What we do know is that Republican operatives have fanned out to appear on Television with the specific assignment to give bizarre non answers to specific pointed questions about Sarah Palin. They have also been instructed to spin any questions by not answering the question directly and spinning it back by implicating Barack Obama is some way. Example question: “Do you believe that Sarah Palin has the necessary experience to be Vice President”. Example answer: “Sarah Palin has more experience than Barack Obama has and has substantially more knowledge on Foreign Policy than Barack Obama”.

So Repulicans are hard at work protecting themselves until they find if the charges to trooper gate will stick on Sarah Palin. From the looks of things they will. This caused George Bush and the ‘Terminator”, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Governor of California, to both cancel their appearances at the convention.

Palin has been conspicuously absent from the scene. No one knows the agenda of the convention for the remainder of the week…………. stay tune.

Joe Biden Will Address Fears Of Barack Obama

Joe Bden’s mother once paid him $10 to go down the street and beat down, a neighborhood bully who messed with one of her son’s. Barack Obama just paid Joe Biden by selecting him as his VP, to do the same to John McCain and the Republicans, who have been beating up Obama pretty bad in July. This is a smart pick. With Biden, you have a Senator who marching to his own beat, and not his Washington colleagues.

So it is a mistake to think that Biden is just another Washington insider; he’s not, he a free thinker and some one who can bring creative ideas. And for the first time during his long tenure in Washington, Biden now has the Most Important World stage that he ever had.

Biden charge will be to address the concerns of older American,  and that Obama has what it takes to lead this country. Biden , A Roman Catholic, can speak to this constituency. He can also speak to those who feel uneasy about voting for some one, particularly, an African American, who is not like them. This is and issue and it needs to be dealt with. The election will really tell whether Americans have grown up and truly faced or embraced diversity in America.

Race

Barack Obama is not doing as well in the Polls, because of his race. That is not an excuse, it is a reality. Obama, will have trouble in the polls as the First African American to possibly win the Presidency. Are white Americans ready to vote for a black man for President?  To put it bluntly, no one wants to talk about this issue, but all of us need to do soul searching in this area.

Would we really put the stressful economic concerns to the back burner and not vote for Obama, because he’s black?  I know we are the greatest country in the world, yet we can’t get past our racial biases. Obama would improve every ones lives and with him we would have prosperity. Republicans have not been able to bring prosperity to this country and John McCain certainly want. He doesn’t know how many houses he owns, and he thinks being rich in America means you are worth at least $5 million dollars a year.

Foreign Policy

Foreign Policy is the primary issue that defines Joe Biden. The Georgian crises has been an advantageous issue for Biden, in relation to his pick as VP. And it is a great help for Obama. Obama seems more confident in talking about international affairs because of his International trip and Biden’s ties to the Foreign Relations Committee.  Both effectively negates any perceived gain, that John McCain felt he enjoyed.

Paris Hilton’s Answer to John McCain

Check out the Video of the ad, by Paris Hilton, of the wrinkly, white haired guy. It is extremely funny. Here’s the link: Pay special attention to the beginning of the video, it was edited by nearly every news organization known to man.

Ways to Increase Voter Turnout

Electing a president is one of the most important decisions an American can make.  Whats at stake is the very future of our country. Policies will be voted on. Laws will be put forth and voted on in the House and Senate. While future foreign policy will be developed and implemented.   All this will be implemented over the next four years and it  will effect the American people for many, many,  years to come.  In short the very future of America and its people is at stake. Why would we not consider observing a holiday on election day? This would enable all Americans to go to the polls to vote.

Voter turnout is a measurement of the percentage of actual voters within the entire voter pool. The mood of the voter can be determined by the voter turnout. For instance a low voter turnout may indicate a disenchantment or apathy with both political parties. It can also indicate disappointment or agreement  in how both the  Senate and Congress have voted on  specific issues. Voter turnout has decreased nearly every election since the 1960’s. This year is an exception given the high voter turnout generated in the Democratic primaries races.

This could be a direct correlation to the mediocre Presidents and the many unqualified candidates that have been involved in political elections since the 1960’s.  American’s truly have not had anyone to be excited about since the candidacy and eventual election of John F. Kennedy in 1960. In 2004, election turnout was 64% among  voting age US citizens and considered a very low turnout.  Meaning 36% of voting age US citizens did not vote.  No one can argue that making election day a holiday will in fact increase voter turnout, but perhaps it can help.

General opinion is that race, gender, and ethnicity  have very little influence over the  factors that draw voters to the polls. In 2008 the factors in voter turnout has been turned on its head, by George  W. Bush.  Bush has caused a tremendous awakening of voters who have flocked to the polls in record numbers during this  primary season.

One factor that is an overwhelming influence on voter turnout is change. Particularly in the 2008 Presidential Election.  In the Democratic primaries  voters were passionate about who they supported and age factored into this equation. Voters under 50 years old supported Barack Obama.  Voters over 50 years old and older supported Hillary Clinton. The voter turnout was huge. Voters are motivated by one big issue this year; that would be change.

On the Republican side Evangelical Protestant voters split evenly between Huckabee,  Romney, and McClain. Again the voter turnout is strong.  But how much more stronger could it be with everyone free to vote whenever they wanted to doing an election day Holiday?

In many countries across the globe voting is compulsory and the voter turnout is consistently 80% to 95%, with Australia having the highest voter percentage. Why Australia? Because they have compulsory voting. Of course we cannot have compulsory voting in America, but we can do all we can to encourage more voter turnout by having a election day holiday.

Our holidays are really important occasions, Columbus Day, Veterans Day, Christmas, Easter, Thanksgiving,  New Years,  Martin Luther King, President’s Day, Fourth of July, Memorial Day, Labor Day, why not add another, Election Day!
