Te-ee-bow, Woe, OH (Phrase Coined by NFL Network)! Tim Tebow brings Home the Playoff Win over the Steelers!

This playoff game was another miracle for Tim Tebow.  Unbelievable performance for the Denver Broncos, as Coach John Fox, takes the reins off of Tim Tebow and he proceeds to throw for more than 300 yards against the #1 defense in the NFL, the Pittsburgh Steelers.  This was one of the most improvable victories in the history of the NFL.  The Broncos take the victory over the Steelers 29-23. Absolutely an unbelievable game.

Tim Tebow one throw in OT wins the game and takes advantage of the NFL new overtime rules that says the first team that scores a TD wins the game. Guess what Tim Tebow throws a pass on the first possession of overtime and it’s a touchdown!  Unbelievable. This is one of the greatest NFL Moments in quite some time; the last one that I can remember was the improvable fumble recovery by Franco Harris, ironically of the Steelers in the seventies.   This overtime lasted less than on minute.

Tim Tebow won this game with his arm 10-21 passing and throwing for 300 plus yards, 2 TD, and rush for one TD.  Thus is a quarterback that they said could not play in the NFL. One week ago we did not know that the Denver Broncos would even make the playoffs. Tim Tebow helped this team come back to win five times this year.  The Broncos were buried in oblivion. Without him the Broncos would not be in the playoffs.   It pays to be a man of faith who follows  the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

Denver’s 4 and 1 Under Tebow, but Jesus Christ Has a Platform To Spread His Word

Tim Tebow did it again going 4-1 as the replenished starter of the Denver Broncos.  How is he doing it?  He is playing throw back football, running option plays, running plays from the line of scrimmage, in which he is the primary ball carrier, and yes, by the way, throws a pass now and then.  That is Tim Tebow. But ironically Tebow is more than that. Tebow, loves the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.  How God is using Tim Tebow, we cannot say? Is God using him as a platform? It appears so. Yes the wins are great, but the  gift that God gave Tebow to play football, is a platform to spread His word.

This is not a new thing. Jesus Christ said in what amounted to  His final visible speech on earth to “Go ye therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, the  Son and The Holy Ghost.” Matthew 28: 19.  That is the charge that we all have. Tim Tebow, took up that cross and continues to follow God’s instruction. Tim Tebow’s platform is football.  He has used this platform for the Lord. So it is not a coincidence that Tim Tebow is doing what he is doing, but rather a revelation of Gods word.

Tebowing, Praying to God, Through Jesus Christ

Alright, it’s a good thing that people are Tebowing, but it is  better  if people realized exactly how and why Tim Tebow, is Tebowing as the latest internet  viral craze calls it.  He is doing it for a reason, he is thanking the Lord, Jesus Christ in his own way. Christians do it all the time. It good that Tebow wears his faith on his sleeve. What a wonderful ambassador he is for God’s only Son Jesus Christ.  Tim Tebow is giving thanks to the Lord for his success. This is  being humble before the Lord. Try it and you will find your life will have more meaning and be more purposeful.  God gave his only Son, Jesus Christ, who came to earth to save  us all and gave His life for us on Calvary.  Look Jesus had the power to destroy everyone around  Him if he wanted to, but he willingly became a human sacrifice for us all.

He took on all of our human characteristics so that He could experience the same temptations, and calamities that we all experience. The only difference is Jesus did not succumb to the temptation.  He was sinless.  By doing this He gave us a way to   atone for our sins, by giving His life freely on Calvary.  After three days  He returned resurrected and later ascended into heaven.  But He gave us a way to eternal life through Him, as long as we  confess our sins and accept Jesus into our Lives.  Now if you do not know Christ, you are in danger of dying without knowing Him, which means you will  not enter into His kingdom with His Father Almighty God.  The only  alternative, is to be sent to eternal damnation, in hell with satan.

To get right with God, all you have to do is accept His Son Jesus Christ into your life.  You can do this by prayer humbly as Tim Tebow does.  He is not Tebowing, He is praying to God through Jesus Christ. But if you would like to characterize Mr. Tebows act of prayer as Tebowing, then that is  fine.  Tim Tebow is bringing a multitude of people to the Lord, just by the simple act of praying.  Say the “Sinners Prayer” and you will have a place in Paradise along with  His Father Almighty God.

Sinner’s Prayer? That’s Not For Me – I’m Not a Sinner!
“Sinner” is a word that gets a bad rap these days – and well it should. Unfortunately, the bad rap it is getting is for the wrong reasons. Confronted with our shortcomings, we are quick to defend ourselves with words like, “I’m not a sinner! I don’t go around sinning! I’ve never murdered anyone or anything like that!” The problem is, we don’t really know what the word sin means. We think it only applies to some despicable act that repulses “church people” who want to hang big scarlet letters around our necks. But sin simply means to miss the mark; to fall short of the goal. The fact is, we are all sinners, for there is no one, save Christ alone, who has lived a life that did not in some way fall short of the perfection God requires. We all deserve to pay the penalty for that sin, which is to spend eternity in hell.

Sinner’s Prayer – What the Bible Says About Sin
Sin, according to the Bible, is any action that violates the law given by God in the Ten Commandments. The law was given by God to show us what it means to live a life deserving of God’s love. It was also given to show us that none of us can live that kind of life. God knew that in advance, and that is why He sent His Son Jesus to be that perfect life for us. Jesus, God in human flesh, voluntarily laid aside His God-hood to connect with us, to show us He understands us and to give us a way to be reconciled to the Father, since none of us can keep the law to its letter. “For all have sinned, and fall short of the glory of God” (Romans 3:23).

Some say that sin is two letters, “s” and “n”, with “I” in the middle. We elevate ourselves, and certainly we live in a time when that thinking is being promoted. Sin may be something we can’t be free of, but the good news is we can be free of its penalty. “For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord” (Romans 6:23)

Sinner’s Prayer – Become a Sinner Saved by Grace!
What’s the key to the Sinner’s Prayer? As long as we are content to live in sin, the Bible says we are separated from God. That condition may seem fine for a while, but it ultimately leads to misery and then to eternal separation from God. “There is a way that seems right to a man, But its end is the way of death.” (Proverbs 16:25). The good news is that God Himself has made a way for us to be reconciled to Him, and He has done this through His Son, Jesus Christ (Romans 5:6-15).

What about you? Are you content to live for yourself, get the most toys, and die anyway? Or do you want a life of purpose and hope? God, the One who created you, has a purpose for your life and wants to give you a new beginning. If you are ready to admit your need for a clean slate in life, the God of second chances is waiting to give it to you. All you have to do is start with the Sinner’s Prayer.

Sinner’s Prayer – Recognizing the Need
The “Sinner’s Prayer” is a term that describes the words spoken by a person when he or she has recognized their sin and their need for a relationship with God through Jesus Christ. It goes something like this:

“Father, I know that I have broken your laws and my sins have separated me from you. I am truly sorry, and now I want to turn away from my past sinful life toward you. Please forgive me, and help me avoid sinning again. I believe that your son, Jesus Christ died for my sins, was resurrected from the dead, is alive, and hears my prayer. I invite Jesus to become the Lord of my life, to rule and reign in my heart from this day forward. Please send your Holy Spirit to help me obey You, and to do Your will for the rest of my life. In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen.”If you decided to repent of your sins and receive Christ today, welcome to God’s family. Now, as a way to grow closer to Him, the Bible tells us to follow up on our commitment.

• Get baptized as commanded by Christ.
• Tell someone else about your new faith in Christ.
• Spend time with God each day. It does not have to be a long period of time. Just develop the daily habit of praying to Him and reading His Word. Ask God to increase your faith and your understanding of the Bible.
• Seek fellowship with other followers of Jesus. Develop a group of believing friends to answer your questions and support you.
• Find a local church where you can worship God.

Now you are in the body of Christ, you have eternal life through Jesus Christ whether you live or die. You are saved and born again through Christ. It does not stop there.  Get a good study bible, which will help you to understand the Bible verses and continually grow in God’s word, because you accepted His son Jesus as your Savior, you will have eternal life. God in time will reveal the secrets and wisdom of life to you . The more time you spend in the word, the more God will ultimately reveal to you.

The Transition Of Tim Tebow

It has been a long road  for  Tebow as he transitioned to Professional Football. Despite confronting and understanding adversity Tebow will get his first start this year for the Denver Broncos.   Tebow Was drafted by the Denver Broncos, by a coach that believed in him.  This year that changed. Tebow did not start for Coach Jim Fox, the new Broncos coach who  works with John Elway, who one could say is not exactly endured with Tim Tebow. The thing is Tebow is loved and revered by the Denver fans and fans around the country, this was enough this season, coupled with a terrible start for the Broncos, that Tebow is getting his chance.

Because of providence, Tebow, will probably never give up this opportunity, whether he is with the Broncos or some other NFL team.  Tebow has always been scrutinized, but now he is more scrutinized because of the NFL’s  penchant to changed quarterback mechanics. Because of the their belief an NFL quarterback, must have a muscle memory  attribute of 90 degrees.  Personally, I believe the NFL is too focused on this not only with Tebow, but with other quarterbacks. They literally tried to makeover Tim Tebow.  As the did they did with Michael Vick in Philadelphia. I say let the quarterback, be who he is.

Tim Tebow Has A Decent Game Against Dallas

Denver Broncos quarterback Tim Tebow has been under the microscope so much lately it’s a wonder he’s not encased in glass.

So it is then, that the view of his preseason performance in Thursday’s 24-23 loss to Dallas at Cowboys Stadium depends through what lens that effort is viewed.

Entering the game one series after starting quarterback Kyle Orton departed with a field-goal drive in his pocket, Tebow was 6-of-7 passing for 91 yards in four first-half possessions. More than half his passing yards came on a 46-yard strike over the middle to receiver Matt Willis. He was at the helm for six Broncos points against the Cowboys’ second-team defense.

“He put points on the board, that’s the key,” Broncos coach John Fox said. “And we didn’t dump the ball to the other team, so I think for a young quarterback he did very well.”

Tebow had a 118.8 rating while working nearly as much from the shotgun (eight snaps) as under center (13). Tebow, starting his second NFL season, also saw a seven-yard TD scramble over the left side wiped out by a holding penalty, an interception nullified by a pass interference call and a 10-yard loss on a sack in which he had no escape.

Tebow also had some of the hiccups that drive his critics batty. He seemed to take off a tick too quickly on a few occasions. His accuracy—another emphasis—wasn’t pinpoint, despite the high completion rate.

The Willis catch might have been a long score had it hit the wideout in stride. Another red-zone pass was behind Willis instead of leading him on third down, sending out the field-goal unit.

Still, after no organized offseason and barely two weeks of practice under intense media heat, Tebow’s work was a stepping-stone.

“I felt more confident in my reads and decisions,” Tebow said. “There’s a few I’d probably change but for the most part I felt like I did the right thing the rest of the plays. Definitely room for improvement.”

Brady Quinn continued to keep the heat on Tebow for the No. 2 job with a strong second half, in which he was 8-of-14 passing for 120 yards, a TD and 109.2 rating.

Half of Quinn’s four series culminated in TDs, including an eight-yard bullet pass to Eron Riley in the back of the end zone with 5:44 left,

“I think we all felt good on offense,” Quinn said. “We’ve definitely come along.”

Tim Tebow’s Faith Is Questioned by CBS Reporter

Before his second professional season has even begun, naysayers are questioning his confidence that relies on his Christian beliefs.

CBSSports.com national columnist Gregg Doyel recently analyzed Tebow’s interview with Denver Post and said the way he equated his love for God in heaven with tangible rewards on earth amounted to blasphemy. The interview was prompted by reports that Tebow might not begin the season as Denver’s starting quarterback.

Doyel’s analysis angered Tebow’s fans. “Dude, your article bothers me. You know dang well that you painted Tebow as a religious nut-job,” complained one Daniel Liebman. Doyel Friday responded to what he described as “hate mails” from “Tebow fanatics.”

“I didn’t paint him as a religious nut-job. Tebow’s the one holding the brush. I just hung his art on the wall and asked you folks to take a look,” the columnist said.

“Your article on Christian faith is extremely offensive,” wrote another fan, Chance Jones. “I have forwarded my thoughts to many individuals at CBS Sports and will no longer be a customer.” Doyel listed the responses sent by Tebow’s fans followed by a statement defending his analysis.

While Tebow is not known to have responded to criticism, he posted “Joshua 1:19” on his Facebook page Friday. The verse, which reads, “Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the LORD your God will be with you wherever you go,” alluded to the charge.

Debi Albritton, a fan commented, saying, “Your faith and your continued show of faith even against all the naysayers is a testament to all Christians. May God bless you and continue to strengthen you against all the adversity you receive!”

Doyel’s article juxtaposed views that suggest “Tebow will never be a good NFL quarterback,” with his confidence in God for his success. “He doesn’t believe it. Which is fine… But check out the reason why he doesn’t believe it,” the sports columnist continued.

Then Doyel quoted Tebow as saying, “Others who say I won’t make it are wrong. They don’t know what I’m capable of and what’s inside me. My family and my friends have been bothered by what’s gone on, and I tell them to pay no attention to it. I’m relying as always on my faith.”

“He’ll make it in this league – for the Bible tells him so,” Doyel remarked. “From the outside it looks like Tebow equates his love for God in heaven with tangible rewards here on earth. And that’s more than wrong. It’s blasphemy.” However, Doyel claimed he had nothing against Tebow or his God and that he considered him the nicest person he had ever met.

Collin Hansen, editorial director of The Gospel Coalition, in a blog Friday, commented on the controversy involving Doyel and Tebow.

“I’m not sure if Doyel knows what blasphemy is, or the seriousness of the charge he’s leveling against Tebow,” Hansen commented. “Tebow could be saying he relies on his faith to withstand criticism and pressure, not that he finds assurance in his future as a starting quarterback because God loves him.”

However, Doyel agrees Tebow’s life has been “grandiose.”

“He was the best high school player in America. The best college player in America, and one of the most accomplished players – one Heisman, two national titles – in history. A first-round draft pick of the Denver Broncos in 2010.”

At college in Florida, Tebow frequently wore biblical verses on his eye black. In the 2009 Bowl Championship Series, he wore “John 3:16” on his eye paint, reportedly causing 92 million people to search the verse on Google. Later, Tebow switched to “Proverbs 3:5-6,” again causing 3.43 million searches of the verse together with “Tim Tebow.
