Finanical Bonus Forces Outrage From President Obama

January 29, 2009 · 1 Comment

Wall Street financial firms reportedly  received 18.4 billion dollars in bonuses for 2008, this after the Government bailed them out. They took tax payer money after many of us have been laid off, or as some of you are still working, but faced to take a week off without pay, and receive no bonuses to boot. What give them the right to take our money and spend it on bonuses when we have to cut back on food and other amenities just in order to make it?

I guess as usually, they think they are priveledged and entitled to the good life, while the rest of us struggle to make it on our own with no health insurance, living on severance pay, and on the brink of being homeless. Think about it. Make phone calls to your congress person, your senator.  President Obama called all of these bandits out on this today. Now the American people should do the same.

I am tired of the CEO’s getting richer off of tax payers money.

If we poor tax payers did not do our job, we would be fired. Not so if you are a CEO thug, you just keep on doing nothing and letting the company go bust and come begging for a federal bailout with tax payers money. Who is going to fire them? Not the shareholders because they are benefiting also from the thievery.

I think it is time to make corporate CEO’s accountable for their dastardly deeds of white collar crime. That is all that it is: White collar crime. No ifs, ands or buts about it.

These crooks, their Republican Party and lobbyists cronies do not pay close to what the poor man pays in taxes and yet we suffer at their debacle of the economy. And yes, lets not forget the other partners in crime of the past administration.
